For 30 years, our manufacturing facility has been committed to maintaining the highest standards in safety, health and environmental (SH&E) performance while positively impacting the community in which we operate.

Situated on the Rhine River in Germany, our manufacturing facility has been in operation since 1987. We produce both fumed silica and fumed alumina for a variety of customers throughout the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Our team of approximately 75 employees is actively engaged with our local community, and currently we take part in the “Local Alliance for Families” with Rheinfelden, Switzerland, located just across the river.

The safety of our employees, contractors, visitors and neighbor is the top priority in everything we do. In 2011, we completed a comprehensive review of the safety standards for our plant's acid area, and our recommendations were ultimately adopted by the other fumed metal oxides facilities throughout the company.
