Giving Back at Haley House's Farm
A team of our Boston employees spent a fulfilling afternoon volunteering at Haley House's Thornton Street Farm in Roxbury.
The Cabot Foundation has proudly supported Haley House’s urban farming program, which brings creative and practical practices to growing accessible, affordable, colorful, nutrient-dense, flavorful, and beautiful food. Our group took on tasks like clipping plant materials, turning compost, and clearing beds for the winter season.
Horizons for Homeless Children Field Trip
Volunteers from Cabot’s Boston office recently brought a group of children from the nonprofit Horizons for Homeless Children, for a day of fun and exploration at the Museum of Science.
Sponsored by Cabot, the day included transportation, a pizza lunch, and plenty of hands-on exploration, creating a memorable experience for the children and volunteers alike. The young explorers delved into an arctic adventure, examined dinosaur fossils, and learned how science shapes the world around them. The trip was not only a morning of wonder and learning but also an opportunity for the children’s teachers to enjoy a well-deserved break.
Run for Recovery
We were proud to sponsor the Boston Bulldogs Run for Recovery 5K race. Boston Bulldogs is a local non-profit running club that provides support to those battling addiction, those in recovery and family and friends who have been affected by addiction.
